The ball whisk is possibly the most innovative addition to the whisk family and is available in two sizes. The design consists of twelve wires with a weighted silicone ball at the end of each; eleven longer wires circle a shorter wire in the middle. This whisk is more efficient since it incorporates air more thoroughly and gets out all lumps. The ball whisk can be used in containers of various sizes, on the stovetop, and is suited to whisk all types of ingredients. Also notable is the fact that this whisk is easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher since there are no crevices for food to get stuck. This variation on the ball whisk uses heat resistant silicone at the end of each wire so that it will not scratch the coating on non-stick pans.
